Work in a shortage profession instead of the migration quota
This article lists the professions in Russia where there is a skill shortage. Employment in one of them is a way to obtain residence without competing for the general migration quota.
That quota is small. In 2024 it was 10,595 places for the whole country, split across every region. Read more in temporary residence permits in Russia.

Professions eligible for simplified naturalization
